PremiumWare Releases Results of WAN Connectivity Study

 

DALLAS/FORT WORTH, TX – Companies are realizing the value of distributed networks and information resources.  National and even global expansions have generated the necessity to access company resources and information from remote and branch locations.  Premium audit related organizations are no different.

 

To address these needs, studies were commissioned to examine and assess PremiumWare’s enterprise functionality as a complete enterprise solution.  These included investigation of available and emerging connection methods, network topology, and protocol support.  These connection methods include frame relay, dedicated high-speed lines, RAS, and dial-up IP. Utilizing TCP/IP networking, PremiumWare has developed a robust system that is location independent, allowing users to globally access premium audit services, support, and data.  Not only is nationwide connectivity designed into the system, PremiumWare engineers have minimized all transmissions between client and server thereby optimizing transaction speed and lowering transfer times.

 

The audit system was tested with geographically remote clients.  Client workstations were used to test audit assignment, reporting, load balancing, audit edit/viewing, and other features of PWAdmin™, as this is the most likely application to be used in the branch office scenario.  Remote field functions were tested.  This setup allowed audit transmittal to and from the field to be accurately modeled and examined.

 

The study validates the conclusion that PremiumWare is a best case implementation of technology with performance and efficiency gains that brings insurance company premium audit business units into compliance and security requirements prevalent in today’s information age.
