DALLAS/FORT WORTH, TX – In response to the
National Auditor Productivity Survey released on May 7, PremiumWare has stressed
its mission to provide unparalleled audit productivity and
efficiency. PremiumWare has indicated the NAP study has been beneficial
in providing insight to the premium audit industry.
According
to the NAP study, industry members are acutely concerned with the
quality and quantity of training. While most auditors receive
some form training, it was suggested that initial training
procedures were insufficient and that they should be augmented by
ongoing currency measures.
Further suggestions included automation procedures, audit
scheduling and management, quality control, and informational
resources.
Satisfied
with the accomplishments of existing development, PremiumWare
indicated that its present products and services account for many of
the issues addressed in the NAP survey.
With
regard to training, PremiumWare announced that it is nearing an
on-time, mid-year, release of PWTraining™. PremiumWare’s training
product provides CD based and Internet based interactive instruction
and review. As
indicated by the study, quality control measures are closely aligned
with training and auditor proficiency. With continual,
quality training audit quality is ensured. This is ultimate goal of
PWTraining™, to maintain quality and increase productivity. In addition to training, the
developers at PremiumWare have integrated quality control monitoring
and reports for management.
With these tools problem areas are easily isolated and
corrected thereby ensuring a total quality
audit.
Respondents
to the survey also indicated automation as desired in order to
reduce unnecessarily manual and repetitive tasks. The application of
automation has been the command of PremiumWare since its initial
conception and development in 1990.
As
noted by the NAP survey, auditor productivity and effectiveness
could be increased with the integration of audit inventory
management and scheduling.
PremiumWare currently supports both of these features. Inventory management is done
in a multi-tier environment, consisting of regions, territories, and
individual auditors.
Concerning suggestions in scheduling, PremiumWare developers
recently indicated that they are undergoing beta testing of a new
approach to audit management and integrated scheduling. This approach involves
integrating audit scheduling in PremiumWare with Microsoft’s
Outlook™.
