Workflow Optimization in Premium Audit

The report, conducted by Kemper Insurance Companies’ internal auditing group, concluded that the net impact for PremiumWare’s workflow optimization solution met and exceeded all operational efficiency and effectiveness targets.

Aggressive efficiency and effectiveness targets for Kemper’s premium audit automation initiative were initially established in cooperation with Kemper’s premium audit business unit and Information Services. The PremiumWare software solution is primarily focused on optimizing the premium audit business unit but as Kemper's internal audit confirmed, its effects are not limited only to premium audit. Associated business units are also experiencing beneficial effects extending to their interfaces with premium audit.

End to end business unit automation, linking legacy systems and all associated business units, has increased not only the premium audit business unit’s ability to effectively respond to work assignments, but also underwriting, claims, billing and loss control.
