Large National Carrier Group Implements PremiumWare's paXML Interface

New interface simplifies interface to multiple legacy systems.

Arlington, TX. –  One of the nation's largest multi-line providers of commercial property and casualty insurance and PremiumWare, Inc, the nation’s leading provider of enterprise premium audit software, today announced activation of an enhanced bi-directional interface between group’s multiple policy and billing systems and PremiumWare® enterprise premium audit software. The interface design will use paXML, an XML protocol standard for premium audit developed by PremiumWare, to link policy, underwriting, claims and billing systems to audit services. The enhanced communication link will securely provide both the premium audit business unit with enhanced critical business and audit information and the follow-on premium billing unit with more timely audited policy results.

PremiumWare's history of designing mission critical applications and the XML interface flexibility were crucial elements in the decision to embrace the new XML based interface standard. To create the new standard, PremiumWare tapped the same designers responsible for creating PremiumWare's robust architecture, an application that, since its inception, has never lost a single byte of premium audit data. Working in conjunction with their IT staff and the premium audit business unit, the completed interface was implemented over a weekend last month causing no disruption to current auditing activities. With the commencement of data transfer, this bi-directional interface is expected to securely carry one of the nation's largest volumes of policy information specifically for premium audit and loss control. The paXML interface’s inherent flexibility and capacity will immediately be apparent to field-based professionals and their managers as additional policy and supporting information will be available with each assignment. The mutual benefits developed between this new paXML interface and PremiumWare's suite of applications will have the net effect of placing premium audit and loss control professionals, technologically, at the forefront of their profession with access to the most complete policy information available today.
