Kemper Insurance Implements paXML Interface to PremiumWare Software

PremiumWare's XML Standard simplifies connectivity to multiple Kemper legacy systems.

Arlington, TX. –Kemper Insurance, one of the nation's most respected providers of Property and Casualty insurance and PremiumWare, Inc, the nation's premier provider of insurance premium audit software, today announced the activation of an XML based interface linking a wide array of Kemper legacy databases and PremiumWare® enterprise audit software.  The interface utilizes PremiumWare's recently released paXML (premium audit eXtensible Markup Language) industry-standard providing a flexible underlying vocabulary and supporting schema to transmit data, effectively linking policy, underwriting, claims, and billing systems to insurance premium audit users. The enhanced communication link will provide Kemper's premium audit business unit with real time, critical business and audit information enabling more timely responses to policy changes, customer claims or endorsements.  

Kemper chose to embrace the paXML standard because the inherent flexibility and application interoperability were crucial to increasing business effectiveness.  Selecting an XML based communication standard completely avoids the historical pitfalls typically encountered when complex proprietary interfaces were used to link applications.  By instituting PremiumWare's scalable paXML interface, Kemper is laying the ground work for future system growth and increased capabilities.  The immediate benefit from activating this link will be to provide Kemper auditors and audit managers access to the most comprehensive, virtually real-time, policy information available.

Working closely with Kemper premium audit and technical services, PremiumWare will expand and refine the interface to include additional data elements and system information.  When fully active, this single interface will be carry the nation's largest volume of premium audit information.
