  |
| How
does PremiumWare distribute policy data and audit assignments to field
auditors?
Policies are selected for audit based on
user defined business rules. Once a policy has been designated for audit,
it is imported into the central database to be filtered and assigned.
PremiumWare filters or assigns audits based on a user configurable
decision matrix. This matrix offers complete flexibility for an
administrator to incorporate changes in business rules as these changes
occur.
Audit assignment and policy information is
electronically transmitted to field auditors via LAN, remote dial-up, WAN,
or Internet connections. All audit information is extracted and
transferred to the auditor through the use of ODBC connectivity. This
connectivity allows the auditor to receive up-to-the-minute updates to the
policy including endorsements, loss, and cancellation as well as other
related information.

  |
| Does
PremiumWare use email to transfer audit information to the field?
Email lacks the direct database
communication that is necessary to fully track all audit process
transactions. Furthermore, network load is adversely increased by systems
that are reliant on email communication in addition to the user’s
inability to control all items surrounding the audit. The ultimate
objective of an audit system is a complete automation of the audit
process. This is only accomplished through the integration of the policy
system and users involved in the audit and audit management process
allowing for the follow through extension of premium.
To properly accommodate this goal a premium
audit system must provide secure direct transfer methods such as remote
database updates. The PremiumWare approach takes full advantage of such
advanced tools in the development of its enterprise-wide solution. This is
done through secure communication and exchange between the remote database
with the field auditors and the PremiumWare enterprise server.

  |
| How
does the PremiumWare system compare to paper-based or semi-computerized
solutions?
Manual systems are very inefficient when
compared with the optimized workflow of the PremiumWare enterprise system.
It is practically impossible for a company to successfully compete in
today’s premium audit environment by employing this auditing process in
all situations by all auditors. In today’s world, technology is too
inexpensive for a company to obtain and is too easy to use not to have at
least some form of computerization.
Similarly, semi-computerized or
stand-alone systems have several serious drawbacks. While the initial
start-up costs are relatively inexpensive, this process has some inherent
efficiency flaws. Within a large organization these inefficiencies could
prove so costly as to outweigh any "up front" savings. Some of
the potential inefficiencies are listed below.
- Manual or Semi Manual tracking of inventory required
- Manual or Semi Manual inventory reconciliation
required
- Manual or Semi Manual transfer of information to and
from the home office
- No automated reference to policies or historical
information
- Manual audit set-up
- No automated system for audit planning
- Manual (and time consuming) extension and transfer to
the billing system

| How
does PremiumWare’s enterprise level solution compare to an isolated
solution such as an auditor only package (spreadsheet or laptop database
with macros)?
Full integration and automation is the key
to the PremiumWare system. Our PremiumWare developers take into account
that the audit process is a flowing event data intensive event. With this
in mind, PremiumWare is continually designed as an all-encompassing
enterprise system. A simple laptop spreadsheet or database does not
fulfill the auditor in the field requirements of having continuously
updated and current policy and related information. PremiumWare’s
enterprise approach allows audit tracking and management throughout the
entire audit process. This, of course, gives managers the visibility
necessary to ensure the highest quality of audit with the least amount of
wasted time.
PremiumWare’s automation and integration
establish a seamless audit input system that automatically assigns audits
to auditors based on business defined rules and follows thru with the
automated population of all required audit and policy required fields and
data. Such measures allow auditors and audit managers to focus on the
auditing task and eliminate time wasted on mundane data entry tasks.
With system wide automation, PremiumWare
updates audit-critical data, such as endorsements, continuously. This fact
ensures that all auditors are not acting on obsolete data and safeguards
against costly re-audits.

| What
kind of training is available?
PremiumWare provides multiple training
options. Training for PremiumWare will normally require orientation for
each job classification utilizing the product. Use of the software will
not materially change the way a job task is performed, but it will require
some personal adjustment in the process to handle an individual task. In
addition to personal and class training, PremiumWare can provide
instruction to in-house training personnel.
Supplemental training can be implemented in
the field through Internet connection. This is done with PWTraining™, an
industry first for premium audit, that allows users to receive instruction
on the latest PremiumWare system features and methods through self-paced,
remote-capable, training methods. This multimedia-based training package
allows users to gain the benefits of training without the usual costs and
logistical problems associated with bringing a group of people together
for a training event. With multimedia based training, PremiumWare provides
a standard reference that the user can absorb at a self-paced rate.
Recurrent training is possible through
computer based training (CBT) to maintain proficiency and introduce
software enhancements without lost productivity.

| How
does PremiumWare generate profit from the auditing process?
The PremiumWare system eliminates
mundane tasks and allows users to focus on their core functions while
ensuring quality. Auditors can devote more time to auditing. Reviewers can
concentrate on reviewing. Managers can focus their efforts on organization
